Windows 7 usb driver free download - Nexus 7 USB Driver for Windows, nVidia Graphics Driver (Windows 7 32-bit / Windows 8 32-bit), VIA USB 2.0 Host Controller Driver, and many more programs Navigation. I downgraded to Windows 7 in order to use automotive diagnostic software.Was able to install everything except usb driver. Been trying for days now using different drivers with no luck. Hardware is intel usb 3.0 extensible host controller.

Available in this download are drivers for VIA USB 2.0 host controller on a system running on Windows 98/98SE/Me. Due to licensing agreements, USB 2.0 drivers for Windows 2000/XP are not available. It is an Asus R510DP (motherboard is the Asus X550DP) that came with Windows 8 and now has 64bit Windows 7. Asus does not support Windows 7 for that model, but I have everything working except the USB 3.0 ports.

When I unzipped and install it showed as SIS 7002 and WinXP kept the old MS 7001 driver which I could not uninstall or delete so it did not solve my problem.
Why is this driver descibed as 7001 when it installs as 7002?'
The Driver installation quit with the following error:

When I power on or restart, windows-7 pro tries to install: Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller. It fails, and reports 'Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Initially, Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller was installed but my hp usb printer stopped working. Since I was getting the error message above, I used windows to remove Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller will not install, windoes-7. Then my printer started working again. My question is, if windows wants to reinstall it but cannot, what's wrong?

Hi:
I recommend that you unplug your printer form the USB port, and install the latest USB 3 driver directly from Intel, restart the PC and reconnect your printer.
